Yesterday the boys were at my parent's house in the afternoon. They go over for lunch then they play and hang out with grammie and papa until I get them. When I went to pick them up, my mom had a funny look on her face and said that I got a fax at their house from someone. A fax? Who still faxes? It turns out that it was from someone (Tina) I used to work with a long time ago at Home Savings of America (before it became Washington Mutual). It seems that a co worker of ours passed away last week. I was crushed. I was friends with this woman, and Tina was too. They were my "girls" at work. We were a team. I lost touch with both of them when I quit after I graduated from college. They came to our wedding, but we really went our seperate ways after that. For that I am sorry. Especially now, isn't that always the case? Tomorrow I will be seeing Tina again, just not in a way I ever would have wanted. We will be at Erin's funeral. Erin really never had it easy, she never got a break. Erin was only 43, she died of a massive heart attack on Friday while she was getting ready for work. She has two daughters, and I never knew a mom that was more proud of their children than her. She certainly had every right to be, they are wonderful girls. I am going to make sure they know that about their mom.
