Remember when I was bemoaning the fact that my bookclub was changing in a way that I was not happy with? Well, we had a meeting last week, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was one of the best we've had lately, with lot's of meaty discussion about the book. Well, it turns out that a member just called my sister to tell her that her and her mom are done. No more bookclub for them. It's fine, really. I'm just disappointed that 1.) they couldn't tell us last week when we were there, and 2.) that after 5+ years they called my sister and let her break it to the rest of us.
** Still no word about the car, so far the consensus is that it will be fixed and not totaled. Keep your fingers and toes crossed.
