Here's our weekend in a nutshell. (Where exactly did that expression come from?) I spent a good part of Friday afternoon and Saturday, cleaning the boy's room. They are both in the bunkbed now. Harrison moved to the top, and Charlie moved in underneath him. You wouldn't believe the space that it created in their room, having the extra bed gone. Robert took a lot of his stuff out of their closet too, so I organized their toys even more. I can't believe how clean their room is, I should savor it, I know.
I'm trying to finish One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I need to, after all it was MY pick this month for bookclub. I have until next week. I'll finish it, I've finished them all, so I'm not worried. I've never read anything like it. It's quite magical. I like it, but I have a feeling I might be in the minority. I've got to come up with a menu too, most likely this heat will continue, so I'll probably go with a salad.
I really need to sit down and plan out our school year. I've taken the plunge into homeschooling. It's not a decision I arrived at lightly. I did research for well over a year, but now it's almost here! I found a group I like and I'm so thankful for that. Time to get busy though.
Through all of this, I'm trying to be crafty. I'm inspired by so many things lately, there aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish it all. I'm hoping to go scrapbook all day this Saturday. If I can get our bookclub mtg. planned out, I just might be able to go.
So, how was your weekend?
