Spring is my all time favorite time of year. I love the weather and I love the flowers. Today I went to Charlie's school for their little Easter egg hunt and party. He was a little unsure about the egg hunt, but warmed up to it pretty fast once he realized candy was in the eggs.
The boys then went over to my mil's for lunch and I got to go out to lunch with one of my best friends. So, it was a pretty good day. I also have a friend from out of state coming into town next weekend. I am really excited about that. We were good friends in high school, lost touch and then reconnected last year after she wrote a note to my parents telling them she was trying to find me. She lives in Georgia now, but you know email is a wonderful thing.
I also am looking forward to celebrating Easter and all that it involves, this year will be extra special as it falls on my mom's birthday. She remembers the last time that it happened she was a little girl and thought that 1). 2007 sounded like a million years away, and 2). she wondered what her life would be like. Just so you know, she's pretty happy with the way things turned out.

James's birthday was on Easter last year. He named that day 'Beaster' and wants it every year. Jeff told him it won't happen for quite a few years. He will be interested to know that someone else had a 'Beaster' many years ago and is now having her next one.

I love your mom's memory! Makes me think of how I thought the year 2000 seemed so far away when I was a girl and we are already seven years past that now!! :0)
