day by day

I am getting better. I feel a little better every day. Turns out I had the flu complete with a fever of 102. Let me tell you , it wasn't any fun at all. I thought I just had a real bad upper respiratory infection and I guess it turns out I kind of did. The bright spot in all of this is that no one else got it. I don't know how we managed that, but thank goodness. It is going around, so I hope you are healthy!
We are having some GORGEOUS weather here. It feels like summer. On Wednesday my parents and I took the boys to La Mirada Regional Park. It isn't very far at all. Biola University is right down the street from it. We like to go and feed the ducks. There has been a lot of construction going on at the the park, they are building a huge aquatic center. It also has a pretty well known frisbee course. There are always a lot of people practicing, you've got to watch where you walk! There are a couple of brand new playgrounds, and my mom and dad have been wanting to take the boys for a little while now. We had a great day. We brought some bread for the ducks, but of course, it is never enough. They are filthy beggars, all of them! They were literally eating out of my mom's hand. Apparently one thought I got a little too close and gave me a nip, almost to say, "back off sister!". Trust me, I don't want any of your stale bread thankyouverymuch! I just laughed. Charlie wasn't too thrilled and ended up in my dad's arms (out of reach of the ducks) pretty quickly. Those ducks and geese are aggressive.
Now my days are spent trying to get the house back into some kind of order. What a mess. Being sick really threw everything off.

Here is a little peek for the card club gals. :) It is very simple, the flu will do that to you, but I am happy with it. Missy, they will be in the mail by the end of the week. ;)

I am so glad you are feeling better, but don't over do it!
It is so tempting to get back into the swing of things the minute you start feeling better.
Take care of yourself!! :0)

I always think that I'd like to get sick just so I can spend a whole day or two on the couch or in bed. But then when I actually get sick, I'm SO miserable. Glad you're feeling better.

It's so funny here on the first warm day after winter because everyone decides to go feed the ducks. If you go later in the day, they're SO full of bread you can't get anyone to eat it. The bread just floats in the water. I also don't like the aggressive ones... they're fodder for nightmares, I think!

We have some pretty greedy ducks in our part, too, Jenny. and it's windy as all can be near the lake where they beg, so we don't go very often.

Love the tease- can't wait to see the rest :)
