summer plans

Today I had to go and turn in Harrison's attendance sheet and his grade sheet. Thankfully, the ISP group we are in takes care of reporting to the state for me. It seems like yesterday that I started this journey that is homeschooling. I am always amazed that another year has passed and not only have we made it through, but we are gearing up for the next one. Here is the bulletin board that hangs in my kitchen which is woefully empty now. I'm kicking myself that I did not take a photo of it sooner. Most times I can't see the surface of it because it is so covered with projects and whatnot.

We are looking forward to a relaxing summer albeit a hot one. We are hoping to get up to Cambria, CA at some point. Robert needs to check his schedule. I'm ready to go now! It is such a pretty spot and it's been a while since we were last there. Other then that, I've got quite a long list of things that need to be done here. That is never ending though, right?
This is also turning out to be the summer of reading for Harrison. The switch has been hit and he is reading like never before. I swear it seemed like it happened over night. I love to hear him and have promised him a steady supply of books to enjoy. I've got to get the boys over to our local library and sign up for the summer reading program.

I am hoping we can make it into the pool. Right now I am just too nervous with Audrey. She obviously is too little, but the boys are too young to be out on their own. I don't think I would feel comfortable swimming while she is napping either. I'll have to see what I can figure out.

We've got a run of birthdays in my family that need to be celebrated and I am looking forward to catching up on those.

I am also hoping to restart on Harrison's quilt. I've got to take a photo of my progress, it hasn't completely fallen by the wayside you'll see. Audrey will need a Christmas stocking too.

So, what are your plans for the summer?

We love Cambria! It's so fun up there! :)

Yay, summertime! We don't have any big plans, but I hope we also get up to Cambria.

I bought one of those little infant/baby float seats that only their legs stick through and it has a shade over the top for Erin. (isn't that one long sentence - lol)
Anyway, we had used one when we took Evan to the beach when he was around the same age, and it was perfect!!! We were definitely able to relax a little bit with him in there :0)
