What a great day! I got to meet Christine and her beautiful children today. They drove a ways to meet the boys and I at one of our favorite local parks. Christine and I met through our friend Suzanne and participated in a circle journal together last year. We finally decided it was time to get together because they will be moving soon! Better late then never, right? We all had fun, the kids got along great, and Christine and I did too. :) We talked about our families, parenting, homeschooling, and a teensy bit of scrapbooking. Although the weather was pretty hot, I think that may have worked in our favor, as the park was pretty empty. We had a nice shady spot to sit and eat picnic lunches. We also had a couple of big yellow butterflies that seemed to like us too, they fluttered by every so often. The kids even tried to catch them. ;) After the park, they came over to our house and played for a little. All in all, a very good day. Thank you, Christine!
