Thoughts on the Oscars and other miscellanous stuff.
1. I have seen a few of the movies that were up for awards this year. I don't have a favorite, but I really enjoyed Gravity and Philomena.
2. We watched, The Wolf of Wallstreet and honestly it was just too much. Too much of everything.
3. I enjoyed American Hustle, but not as much as I thought I would.
4. I have seen Frozen a couple of times, and I love it. I love, Let it Go and thought Idina Menzel did a fantastic job. So did Adele Dazeem. John Travolta however, did not. He had one name to read!
5. We will be watching 12 Years a Slave soon, and I can tell from the previews that I have seen that Lupita Nyong'O absolutely deserved to win. How great was her reaction and acceptance speech?
6. Ellen did a great job hosting. I appreciate a comic that isn't mean. Bravo, Ellen.
7. That is it for the Oscars. Oh, one more thing. Best dress, Lupita again. Gorgeous!
8. I started a new book that I picked up at the library and I am loving it very much. Please pick up a copy of, Until Tuesday: A Wounded Warrior and the Golden Retriever Who Saved Him by Luis Carlos Montalvan. You won't regret it. I am also thrilled that our library will be hosting the author and Tuesday. I am hoping to go see both of them.
9. On my nightstand waiting to be picked up, Under the Wide and Starry Sky by Nancy Horan. I loved her book, Loving Frank. What an insightful look in to the life and loves of Frank Lloyd Wright.
10. What are you reading? Have a great week. xxoo Hey! I figured out lists in Blogger!

I so love Ellen! I thought she nailed the Oscars!
Ellen is wonderful. Just the right tone for a show that is supposed to celebrate good creative work.
Frozen, meh.
Can anyone tell me why John Trumbolo was even at the Oscars? Alos, why Will Smith?
Ellen rocked.
You neglected to mention Nebraska-absolutely great and touching, too.
12 Years was deserving of their award.
Can't figure out editing on my post-
Should say "Also"
Chris, I didn't say anything about Nebraska because we haven't seen it yet.
I hate to admit that I have not seen any of those movies! But as soon as they are available on video we will probably catch a few. Oh except Frozen. Erin and I saw that one together. :)
