Lists with Friends, #6

I let a couple of weeks go by without a list! The kids have been sick, all 3 of them and we are finally feeling better. Here's my list for this week, of nothing in particular. 1. I just finished, The Valley of Amazement, by Amy Tan. Hmmmm. How should I put this? I enjoyed the book, it is well written. But now I know more than I want to know about the life of a Chinese courtesan, and everything that life entails. 2. Tonight I am starting, Stories I Only Tell My Friends, by Rob Lowe. Boy, did I have a crush on Rob Lowe! And truth be told, he is still pretty cute. 3. The Winter Olympics do not interest me at all, in part because the coverage stinks. Yes NBC, your Olympic coverage stinks. 4. I should be cleaning instead of updating my blog. 5. My daughter loves the Birdie series of books by Sujean Rim. We just got, Birdie's Big-Girl Hair, and it is quickly becoming her favorite nighttime story. The illustrations are so cute too! 6. My favorite show on tv is The Mindy Project, and it won't be back with a new episode until April. Boo. It is seriously a funny show, I love Morgan Tookers and Danny Castellano. 7. What are your favorite tv shows? 8. What are you reading? That's it for this week. xoxo

I'm still reading Amy Tan... Need to commit to the point where it catches me fully : ) I love those Birdie books too. Illustrator is the same as who does Daily Candy, or used to at least. I was in Austin this weekend with two friends and it made me very nostalgic for our trip to San Francisco : )

Ok - so need to respond to almost everything on your list! :)

2. I had such a crush on Rob Lowe, too! So of course I had to go request that book from my library now.

3. ITA about the winter Olympics and coverage! In fact, one of the events we were trying to watch was cut off before we even saw who won!

4. I should be making a grocery list, going grocery shopping, working on my insurance health claims, going to get a birthday present, washing my car, etc...instead of sitting here.

6 & 7. I haven't seen that show, so maybe I should check it out. Kind of between shows now. I watch Sleepy Hollow which is on break, The Voice which is starting up again next week, and can't wait for So You Think You Can Dance! I think I might be watching the Tonight Show a little more now with Jimmy Fallon on.

8. Right at this moment I am reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King and it is a long one. I just finished Sisterland and really, really disliked it!

I watched a ton of Olympics this week, but Canada has great coverage. We've got 4 different stations covering here so I had my pick of what events I wanted to watch.
