hello, May!

Wow, another month is done. We've had some big events in the last couple of weeks, here are some pictures for you. First of all, Harrison is now a full-fledged Wolf scout. We finished the handbook a little bit ahead of schedule. My verdict on Scouts? We really enjoyed it. We are definitely going to do another year and this time, Charlie will join too. I don't think we would have done it again if we had not gotten a new leader. The leader we started out with really let us down. I say that now knowing more of what should have happened those first few months. Our new leader is wonderful. The kids really like him and I have gotten to know his wife really well, their son in addition to being in the troop is also in Harrison's CCD class. They also have a kindergarten aged son too. And guess who is now the troop secretary? Yours truly. We'll see how that goes. Here is Harrison accepting his Wolf patch. Yeah!

The very next day Harrison made his First Holy Communion. He had a pretty big weekend. Here are some favorites from the day.

I just love Audrey's dress that my sweet friend, Michelle sent after she was born. :)Isn't it cute?

Last but not least, here are some photos from Easter. My sister got the boys this game, and I highly recommend it. You might get a little tired of playing it every.single.day but it is fun. We are past the "have to play it all the time" stage. In fact, I think we will play it tomorrow!

I am happy to report that I have not had any more rapid heart beats. The shortness of breath has also gone away, that was the most distressing part of all of this. I really felt true panic and I never want to feel it again. I feel badly for people that suffer from panic attacks regularly. The only thing that bothers me now is I still don't know what set everything off. I saw the cardiologist twice and each visit he gave me a great report. I still need to schedule the holter. I learned a lot during this time, mainly that these symptoms are fairly common for a lot of people, especially mothers! I am working on making more time for myself. Hard to do with a 1 year old, but I am trying.

How are you? Relaxing I hope. :)

congratulations, Harrison! some big accomplishments there, bud! :)

big hugs, Jenny. :) i wore the holter, too. if your EKG was normal, and you don't go over 50 or 60 flutters an hour every hour, then your cardio will probably have nothing new to tell you. :) when i wore it, i had two hours during which my PVCs (premature ventricular contractions... or flutters) went over the 60/hour rule, but since it wasn't any more than that (and since my highest rates were during the afternoon - my most stressful time of day) he said there's nothing he could do for me. just get plenty of rest, moderate exercise, NO caffiene, and avoid stress. no biggie. ;)

anyway, just wanted to warn you not to get discouraged, in case it doesn't prove anything. in people our age, it's extremely rare when it does. i still have flare ups, but not nearly as often anymore since taking his advice. ;) my BIL, however, has them so bad, he has to wear an apnea mask at night. turns out, he had severe sleep apnea, and that was a huge contributing factor to his PVCs. since wearing the mask, no PVCs. if they don't go away, or get worse, you could always look into a sleep clinic and do a sleep study. i haven't had the guts to get that far yet. ;)

yikes, i'm rambling. :O thinking of you and your family, always. :)

Such a busy month for you guys! But you all look wonderful! And Audrey's dress is adorable :0)

I'm glad you are feeling better! Your friend, Lisa is so right with all of the suggestions her doctor gave her! But the key is making the exercise and relaxation a priority when you need to. I know it's so hard to do with young children. So, so hard. But everytime my "stress" symptoms flare up, I just look at it as a wake up call that I need to slow down.

Your package is on the way :0)

You know- that rapid heart rate/panic attacks - were happening to my 8 year old- last year.... scary. We took him to a cardiologist etc. too.. PVC too- his trigger is chocolate+with stressful situations.

It is scary- he felt like he was dying. ( He had switched into a higher reading group in school and had a new "mean" teacher that was stressing him out.) poor guy- we switched him out.. and no more hot chocolate for breakfast.

No fun- but manageable now... we know how to manage when it happens.

His homeroom teacher now- has the same thing and she takes medication to manage it.

Anyway- really I wanted to say-
We love that guess who game! We have the travel size.. keeps my kids happy in the car.
