I had a rough night last night. Audrey inadvertently swallowed a nail. Yep. A nail. She had a cheap little rubber duck that lights up when you touch the sensors on the back, and I knew they were loose. Why I didn't throw it away will always gnaw at me. Yesterday I noticed the duck on the floor and something told me to check it. Sure enough, the sensors were gone. I amazingly found one of them in the seat of her saucer. Charlie, unbeknownst to me had given it to her to play with. In the matter of minutes, they were gone. So what do you do when you think your baby swallowed something? Call the doctor of course. He called me back right away and recommended I take her to Urgent Care to get an x-ray. I knew how small it was and I decided that because she was fine, that I would take her today if I didn't find it. Well, fast forward to this morning. The things we will do as a mother never cease to amaze me. After I changed her diaper I put on a rubber glove and sifted through the ahem....poop. And, voila! There it was.
More to tell later. That incident kinda trumped everything else.

Oh yuck. But yay that you found it and that she's okay.
Oh that kind of stuff freaks me out. We can't watch them 24/7 you know...I'm glad she's ok!
Lovely.
Don't feel bad. Apparently Erin ate a small glass ornament while I was gone one day, but since all was technically well, I wasn't told :0p
But like Missy said, can't watch them 24/7!
