the toothless wonder strikes again

I was just sitting here at the computer when Harrison came in and announced that Charlie just kicked him in the mouth and his tooth fell out. Oh boy. This particular top tooth has been loose for quite a while now you might recall. I was assured that it was an accident and thankfully there were no tears shed. I think he was just shocked. We had a little bit of blood that caused a little panic (by him, not me). After he rinsed a couple of times he was ok. I think now he is relieved that it happened so quickly and he didn't even have to think about it. Charlie is also proud to have played a part in it too, even if he did accidently kick his brother in the mouth. ;) So I guess the Tooth Fairy will be making a delivery tonight. :)

My oldest had a tooth knocked out by a baseball once... it was already a little loose. The problem was, it also knocked the remaining front tooth so it was dead center, hanging in the big gap. He looked like Snagglepuss. I made him work at it until it came out too - poor kid. It was probably a good two weeks from really being ready but I just couldn't have him walking around with that one big tooth hanging there in the middle of his smile.

This also just reminded me that my daughter lost a tooth last week but with all the time in the hospital, the 'tooth fairy' never came. She brought me the tooth and said "Can I have my dollar?" and I told her I'd give it to her later... totally forgot about that until now. Guess I owe her.

He's so cute with his toothless grin, Jen.

He is going to be a rich kid. He won't have Charlie kick him again for even more teeth to exchange for money will he? ;)

aww.... and I'm with Marie on the song. In fact, have him sing it and videotape it, it'll be good medicine for you when he's 12.5. :)
